David comes to UUFF from a very diverse background. For several years, he and his wife, Rebecca, attended a UU fellowship in Blacksburg, VA, but this is his first job with a UU congregation.
David grew up in the Southern Baptist Convention and attended a very conservative Seminary after college. As a music and education pastor, he served in two large Baptist churches in the 1990s.
Starting around the turn of the century, David underwent a crisis and change of faith. After much soul-searching and personal study, he now considers himself a Mystic Buddhist.
In addition to serving the UUFF, David is the chorus teacher at Stafford Middle School. Prior to teaching, David worked in the field of IT across various towers, including finance, biotech, and state government. He enjoys golf, tennis, and riding his motorcycle.
David grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and is a lifelong Chiefs fan. He met his wife Rebecca in Phoenix, Arizona. They enjoy two small dogs, 8 goldfish, and 3 grandchildren.
